Kaaba ligger i sentrum av den Hellige Moskeen, alle muslimer ber i retning av Kaaba, som det er trodd ble opprinnelig bygget av Adam og gjenoppbygget av Abraham og hans sønn Ismael. Andre store steder å se i Mekka er Mina, Arafat-høyden og Jabal Rahma, Jabal Al Thur-hulen og Masjid e Taneem-moskeen. Utvilsomt er Mekka et av de mest åndelige stedene på jorden.
